What would you do if you never had to work another day for the rest of your life?
Would you expand your hobbies? Keep working your current job? Or maybe pursue a career based on how fulfilling it is, and not how much it actually pays?
For many of us this sort of mindset is often associated with being financially rich. Anyone who has bought a lotto ticket days before a drawing has likely fantasized for hours on end how they will spend their inevitable winnings.
Problem is, that ticket doesn’t pay out, and you don’t get rich quick. However, you can get rich slowly. Choices made over years or decades can compound themselves to get to a point that can remove your dependency from a traditional 9-5 paycheck. This Financial Independence (FI as its called) is the goal for many whose dreams span the gauntlet of activities and personal reasons.
On this blog – I like share my thoughts and opinions as the marathon my own FI journey unfolds. Writing about lessons learned, personal reasoning, and some of my own driving motivations will help pass the time during the transition to my own Financial Independence.
Hope you enjoy.
